Stillmode
More details

A brand new act, but one with plenty of experience. Stillmode, the band that was formed from the remains of pop-rock band KinKobra, is starting anew. They have a fresh sound and are motivated to the teeth, ready to conquer the world. First order of business of the formation, led by frontman Pasacal Molenaar: the catchy single Outside World.

The band worked with the renowed producer Arno Krabman (Within Temptation, Waylon, Niels Geusebroek). The songs have a big dose of Jack White, a pinch of Placebo, a few drops of Prince, but above all the power to nestle itself in your ear and don’t let go. That’s what you call hit potential. If anything, they’re putting in the effort. ‘This band is a serious, even more ambitious one than KinKobra’, says Pascal. ‘We’re going to take it as far as it will go. To conquer the world’, he jokingly claims. ‘But above all, we’re going to play ‘till we drop. Festivals, concerts, and record a bunch of new tracks. There are no boundaries’, At the moment, Stillmode works with Arno Krabman on their debut EP, which will be scheduled for release at the beginning of 2017.

Stuck in motion (Swe)
More details

Like any movement over time, there are those who simply go through the hallmarks of a style without adding anything to it. Stuck in Motion do precisely the opposite. They present a ’70s-loyalist heavy rock that brims with instrumental chemistry and soul alike, and has a laid back vibe all the while that’s too inviting to refuse. They probably didn’t set out to do so, but they’ve wound up proving that there’s vibrancy in classic forms, and the energy they bring to bear while remaining so poised in the delivery and warm in tone makes their sound immediately their own. – JJ Koczan, The Obelisk.

Subterranean Street Society
More details

Subterranean Street Society is the moniker of one the most talented buskers of Amsterdam. His stage is usually set on the squares of the city, but luckily, he’s got The Waterhole’s stage at his disposal tonight.

He draws his inspiration from artists like Towns Van Zandt, Radiohead, Feist, Neil Young, The Beatles en Bob Dylan. With his effortless guitar playing and refined songwriting, he’s in a busking-league of his own. The troubadour and true romantic loves to be among the many excentric characters the streets of Amsterdam have to offer. Tonight however, we’re happy he plays an indoor gig!
