The Beastie Boys in short shorts; Blink-182 with unicorn hair; the Evil Spice Girls. The Sissy Fits will melt your face, steal your hearts and leave your party covered in glitter. This girl gang wants to take over the world with positive vibes and strong female realness. In their debut EP "Lady Boss" The Sissy Fits blur lush pop harmonies, EDM drops, straight rock-n-roll guitar riffs and hip-hop beats to create their sound.
Speaking of bosses, these women have been in the industry since they were pre-teens. Literally playing bar gigs in junior high! Before joining forces they had success with their many other projects, including Dreamface and Sister Gray. They have individually toured throughout North America playing iconic rooms like The Rainbow Room in NYC, the New Orleans Convention Centre, festivals like NXNE and North Country Fair, sharing the stage with Bif Naked, Glass Tiger, Mother Mother, USS, and 5440. With the help of Blackbox Universal, Dreamface landed radio play across Canada and the US., multiple song placements on tv programs and commercials, and 2 videos on Much Music. Their first video, directed by the amazing Justin Broadbent, was released in 2012 and was #21 on the recommended rotation list. Sister Gray was the first female Edmonton Sonic 102.9 band of the month and winner of 102.3 Now! Radio Breakout Artist of the Year in 2015, awarding them the grand prize of $50,000.
The Sissy Fits have a lot to say, and giant pink amps to make sure you hear!
The Starlings is a new band existing out of Tom Eeckhout (Tom Dice) and Kato Callebaut. Two singer-songwriters join forces as they share their passion for music and for each other. They create rootsy pop music with an acoustic feel and harmonies. The Starlings create songs filled with melancholy, talking about the highs and the lows of love and life.
A Starling is a passerine, one of the most beautiful perching birds, recognizable by their fun, modest and playful personalities.
rocksteady and traditional ska music from a 7-piece band of hooligans
Imagine a boxing ring.
The Black Keys smack Bowie on his good eye, Bowie squeezes Lennon in his nuts, John Jagger gives a headbutt, which Otis licks all over his sweaty face ... and for him The Black Keys go down on their knees. How that sounds? That's The Steady Itch.
The songs are originals, the inspiration is evident. Rhythm and melody stow, support and snub.
The Steady Itch are:
Mido Hamed: lead vocals, guitar & blues harp
Casper Galagan: drums & choirs
Fishing nets on the ceiling, bean bags, oil crisis and 'critical' people ... the seventies were certainly not boring ... And that certainly applies to the music! Whether you're disco was or punk: there was always something for you at. Yet it was above all the rock music that most timeless is proven.
The Stereo Types offer music lovers the ability to hear the classic pop and rock once more, old-fashioned ' live '. This formation from North Holland consists of six experienced musicians, who take you on a musical journey through time. The Stereotypes play mainly hits from the seventies, with here and there a touch of sixties and eighties. No boring songs, but party with "Come together", scream along to "Whole lotta Rosie", your feet off the floor with "Denis" or "I want you to want me" and "Somebody to love" ... The Stereotypes have it all!
The Streets-No Ordinary Rock band
Who would have thought that rock coverband in 2011 The Streets from Kerkdriel ever would get this far. Not the four musicians themselves, that is certain. A cover band with a good sound, a fine repertoire and high amount of allocation. But now The Streets are the best cover band in the Benelux! All this after winning the final of The Clash of the Cover band in Paradiso Amsterdam in 2017.
Rock coverband The Streets, born in 2011, is a 4-piece band with a pronounced taste for rock music. Not the standard classics but just that other covers are in a steaming live show fired onto you. Covers and own interpretations from the likes of Rammstein, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Papa Roach, Muse, Korn, Motorhead, Faith no More, Rage Against the Machine and more!
The band is formed by drummer Marcel Tal and bassist Thomas Vincent. On lead vocals is Stefan Cai the charismatic leader, on guitar wonderboy Baji plays with flaming solos the icing on the cake.
