Soul singer Franklin Batta has earned his stripes. He contributed his vocals to bands of both Hans and Candy Dulfer (Hollands most famous saxophone players). Now, he’s the driving force behind a brand new project under his own name.

The many different shades of soul are what this show is all about. As the lead singer of the band, Franklin is backed by guitarist Robby Alberga, keyboard player Francisco Morales, bassist Giorgio Sitanala, drummer Liber Torriente an saxophone player Franklin Breedveld. Together, they push boundaries, enhance details and bring nuance to the wonderous world of soul music.

Funke and the Two Tone Baby is a one man sonic explosion. Uncategorized and uncharted. Jammed halfway between frenzied alt-blues and metronomic dance beats. Combining guitar and harmonica with beatboxing and effects that seamlessly collide the organic with the mechanical to create a fresh sound of unstoppable rhythm and unrelenting melody.

From supporting Skinny Lister, Beans on Toast, Hayseed Dixie and Mercury Prize nominees The Comet is Coming to a 40 date festival tour in 2017, including standout shows at Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory and Hungary’s Sziget Festival, Funke has quickly becoming a must-see act on the festival and touring circuit.

Funketeerz is a 6-piece band which originates from Delft. With a singer, rhythm section and saxophonist they always play the tastiest funk and soul songs!

Funky Good Time is a swinging, nine-piece cover band with a passion for soul and funkycovers of back then and now: Stevie Wonder, Prince, Joss Stone and Jamiroquai. The formation has a horn section and plays the songs with a poppy edge.

At the express request of fans, the band has had a restart in 2011. From that moment the musicians have a click and there is no stopping. The singers are on stage Irene and Merel accompanied by seven enthusiastic band members: Aad on guitar, Koen on keys, John on bass, Marco on drums, Peter on tenor sax, Sandra on alto sax and Jan on trumpet.

Passion for funk, soul and grooves binds the musicians, and they are happy to commit to any party.
