Weet je nog, de jaren 90? Deze gasten weten het nog als de dag van gister. Jaxswing brengt al die funky dansplaatjes terug, van toen R&B nog swingbeat was. Op toetsen en talkbox: host van de avond, Geronimo Latumeten.

Bobby Brown, Blackstreet, Morris Day & The Time... De soort muziek al jullie dertigers mee opgroeiden. De line-up bestaat uit leadzanger Arman Kanun, Azim Inami op gitaar, Giorgio Sitanala op bas, Patrick Wiebers op drums en oprichter Geronimo Latumeten op toetsen, talkbox, claps, 808's en wat niet al. Deze groep enthousiaste muzikanten blazen het genre weer nieuw leven in. Bereid je voor om terug naar 1990 te worden getransporteerd met Jaxswing!

Dit trio is gebouwd rond de Amsterdamse zanger en gitarist Joep Berkenbosch. Het drietal keert met deze formatie terug naar de rock- en blues-roots van de frontman.

Joep Berkenbosch is een gevierd sessiemuzikant, die samenwerkte met grote namen uit de Nederlandse popmuziek. Zo speelde hij reeds met Alain Clark, Trijntje Oosterhuis en Candy Dulfer. Bovendien won hij in 2007 de Musicmaker Award voor beste muzikant en speelde hij de Paradiso plat tijdens het Holland Got Soul-evenement. Hij beschikt niet alleen over een soulvol stemgeluid, maar is ook virtuoos op gitaar. Samen met bassist Jan van Olffen en drummer Geert Sluijter brengen ze een ode aan de grote artiesten uit de jaren zestig en zeventig. De band voegt daar ook nog eens een flinke dosis soul en funk aan toe.

Jeff B.R.I.C.K. brengt een energieke set barstensvol topnummers van o.a. AC/DC, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Queen, Doors, Rolling Stones, Ramones, The Clash, Red Zebra, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, ZZ Top en nog vele andere krakers!

Jeff BRICK werd opgericht in 2009. Al snel werd de richting gekozen van rockcovers van klassiekers uit de jaren 60 en 70, aangevuld met 80’s punk en new wave en eigentijdse nummers die daarbij aansluiten.
Na in 2014 in twee opeenvolgende voorrondes als publiekswinnaar uit de bus te zijn gekomen speelde Jeff BRICK in januari 2015 de regiofinale van België-Luxemburg van de wedstrijd "Clash of The Coverbands". Hier sleepte de band na een nek-aan-nek race een tweede publieksprijs uit de brand! Vervolgens stond op 9 januari 2016 de Benelux halve Finale in Paradiso te Amsterdam gepland. In deze legendarische zaal eindigde uiteindelijk de wedstrijd voor de band. Maar met nog een eervolle vermelding door een wildcard nominatie voor de band met meeste stemmen van publiek en jury samen.

In de zomer van 2017 speelde Jeff B.R.I.C.K. hun 100ste optreden op Rootsrock (Oud-Heverlee). De voorbije jaren stonden ze o.a. al op de podia van Demerrock, Paal op Stelten, I Love Rock, La Nuit De Folie, Biesenrock, Ruusrock, Bilzen By Night, Loon Swingt, Meifeesten Hamont, Biesenrock, Paradiso Amsterdam...

Jeff Gunn is Juno Award nominated guitarist, songwriter and producer for his work on Emmanuel Jal's The Key (Gatwitch/Universal). He is the author of the Hidden Sounds: Discover Your Own Method on Guitar (Mayfair Music Publications) and a regular “guitar tips” contributor in print and film with Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Guitar World, Canadian Musician, Overdrive (Thailand), and The Guitar Mag (Thailand). He co-wrote the song "Scars" with Jal and Nelly Furtado for the film The Good Lie (Warner Brothers 2014) and The Black Prince (2017) soundtrack. He has recorded with Emmanuel Jal, Nelly Furtado, Bibi McGill, Mark Pellizzer, Kae Sun, Domanique Grant, Rayzak, performed with DMC, Swizz Beatz, Kate Todd, Tanika Charles, and continues to serve as musical director for Jal opening for such acts as Nico & Vinz, Peter Gabriel, Bonnie Raitt, Angelique Kidjo, Xavier Rudd, Mumford & Sons and Ellie Goulding. He has performed at Glastonbury, Juno Songwriters’ Circle, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Ringo Starr’s Birthday Concert at Capitol Records, United Nations, Grammy Museum Concert Series in Honour of Bob Marley, Jimmy Kimmel’s Annual Italian Festival, and at the Dalai Lama One World Concert. He has appeared on CBC, CTV Canada AM, Good Day New York, Fox TV, Ted Talks, The Travel Channel (Thailand) and more. "JELLY ROLL DUO" is a music project lead by two Italian musicians Samuele Ghezzi (lead vocals, harmonica) and Francesco Mosna (acoustic guitar, vocals); Mosna who's one of the most influent bluegrass guitar and dobro players in Italy.
Their focus is on the traditional sounds of both white and black music from the first decades of the 20th century in the United States. The way they studied the repertoire musically and philologically is one of their main characteristics. From Appalachian old time music and bluegrass to the delta blues, from guitar ragtimes to various types of spirituals.
