Rayn Bechoe is a soul man in the truest sense. His unique, though instantly recognizable soul is founded on his smooth vocals. He toured through The Netherlands, and he also brought his music to Italy, Switzerland and Japan.
And it was all thanks to his well-recieved debut record A Creation From The Soul. The album was followed in 2014, by the EP Smile, for which he worked with top producers like Rekesh Dukaloo en Eastar. On the EP, he experimented with different styles, like dancehall, funk and reggae. In 2016, his second full-length record will be released. With Back II Business, Rayn will explore everything soul has to offer, from ballads to dancefloor bangers. His band is made up of the best musicians a true soul singer can wish for.
The experience of seeing Trainwreck Trio live is something generations will pass down to their grand children. A force of nature to be witnessed when the circus comes to a town near you!
Trainwreck Trio debuted at Tamworth Country Music festival in 2012, with a view to playing completely spontaneous shows, where the audience would dictate the song list. What just began as a late night 'jam' concept, where other musicians at the festival would also join for 'guesties', quickly exploded into a fully fledged Australian touring machine. 2014 saw Trainwreck Trio play nearly 200 shows up the east coast of Australia, with trio members 'Janis the Wreck', 'Billy Ray Simon' and 'Give Stefan Hedberg' forced to go full time on the project. The Waterhole is proud to be part of the international tour, which is now in full swing.
Hircus Circus is a band from Volendam with only one goal: a smashing performance. The band plays tasty rock albums from the years ' 60, ' 70 and ' 80 (The Beatles, Steely Dan, Queen, The Beach Boys), but also makes trips to other eras. With energetic ensemble, polyphonic vocals and a varied repertoire, Hircus Circus delivers swinging and catching music.
Powerful, tight and catchy. That’s the motto with which Cover Up gets on stage every single time. These Amsterdammers are used to being the life of the party, and it shows!
Everyone’s favoritve hits from the eighties until now are the cornerstone of their highly accessible set. Particularly, the six-piece have a soft spot for Lenny Kravitz. Always On The Run, Are You Gonna Go My Way and other gems from the workd of this rock-god are obviously represented. But moreover, what to think of tunes by Guns N’ Roses, Kings Of Leon en Maroon 5? The two lead singers Anouk Leijenaar and Romy Laarhoven, with their crystal clear, sweet voices, shine in the spotlights. Drummer Paul de Hoop and bass player Diederik Verzijl keep a tight rhythm and the guitar players Luuk Gerrits and Jeroen van Geel make sure the sound is chesty and groovy. Tonight, you’ll probably lose your voice at some point, singing along with your favorite songs. But it’ll be a small price to pay!
Allen Wrench & the Nuts is a trio that brings you a unpolished mix of swinging blues, surprising classics, honest rock and handcrafted original songs, straight from the heart.
The shows are based around enthousiasm, experience and pure love for playing live. They’re not in the least intersted in what would be ‘suitable’ or even ‘hip’. They simply play authentic, crafty tunes, showing an honest love for music in general. Dominik P. Sprenger (guitar and vocals), Ed ten Hoedt (bass and vocals) and Mozes Wolff (drums and vocals) combine blues, jazz and timeless classics in a fantastic way.

Jesse Koch is no stranger to Amsterdam’s music scene. His first Waterhole-shows are many years back, back when his father had to come along as he was legally not allowed to enter a bar yet, given his age. In the years that followed he built himself a name with coverproject ‘Jesse en de Muffins’, amongst other bands.
By now, Jesse graduated his guitar-studies at the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht, and currently he is continuing his development even further at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
De muffins have been replaced by ‘Love on the Rocks’, a band in wich the multi-instrumentalist calls in the help of his –just as talented- girlfriend Marleen Hoebe.
Besides these rockcovershows, Jesse is actively working on orginals with ‘The Silverfaces’ and ‘Hound’ (amongst others).
On Jesse’s Rock n’ Roll Jam Night, everybode is more than welcome to sing or play their instrument. They jam in a free style, or guided by covers by timeless classics like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Prince, Santana and many more.
The alternating line-ups of the house-band are always built out of talented musicians from the Amsterdam music scene, and fellow students at the conservatory also know how to find their way to The Waterhole. Come an join, or enjoy the night with high-quality, but spontaneous music!
Time Flies is a true funk band from Amsterdam, with no less than ten band members.
Three vocalists, who efforlessly switch between lead and backing vocals, a three-piece horn section, the funkiest of guitars and keys, and a powerful rhythm section. The repertoire consists of the fattest funk, but they don’t forget about the funk-rock variety. And there’s even room for the occasional soul slow jam. In short, music for lovers of music. You can dance to it, swing to it, even clean your living room to it. One thing you can’t do: sit still to it. Tip: wear comfortable shoes.
Rosita Loth & The Travel Light Band is a Coverband that performs a wide arrange of styles in their own way. Guaranteed a musical night you will remember!
Common Royals is a pop/rock band that focuses on catchy rock covers. Think of bands such as The Foo Fighters, Wolfmother and AC/DC, but also covers of Melissa Etheridge and Skunk Anansie are not shunned. In short Common Royals stands for an evening of rock with passion!
Common Royals started as a collaboration between Peter kattenburg and Paul Franks. Quickly it became clear that this cooperation had a future. This resulted in a search for good musicians to give the band the quality it deserves. With Marieke van Zwieten has Common Royals attracted a hell of a singer. Nowadays the rhythm section is in the hands of Martijn van Eeden and Paul Franks. To give more body to the sound a second guitarist was attracted: Joost Hofstede. And the band has found its present form.
The Polease are generally regarded as the best Dutch Police-tribute bands, playing the same typical style of music that was strongly influenced by punk, rock, reggae, and jazz. Musically The Polease stays completely true to their The Police heroes.
The band was formed in Amsterdam in 2006. It consists of Pep (lead vocals), Louk (guitar and backing vocals), Rogier (bass and backing vocals) and Brian (drums and backing vocals). The likeness in sound is uncanny. In July 2012 The Polease even performed as support-act of Sting at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, warming up the immense crowd for the big man himself. Radio Veronica, the biggest commercial radio station in Holland, chose The Polease as one of the top 5 best cover bands of 2014.
Nineties stadium rock that you’ll rarely hear this good. The Amsterdam coverband Waste takes audiences back to the haydays of Guns N’ Roses, Radiohead and Metallica.
But you’ll find much more on the huge repertoire of this four-piece. U2, The White Stripes, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Lenny Kravitz can also frequently be found on the setlist. The band was founded by a group of friends, who organised a weekly jam session in the rehearsal space of Rock Supplies in Amsterdam. Nowadays, singer / guitarist Ramon van Loon, lead guitarist Onno Postma, bass player Peter van der Linden and drummer Charles Doornbos play regularly in the greater Amsterdam area. The formation reached national success when they reached the final of the renowed Clash of the Coverbands competition.
