"Just play without whining"
Still Blue was founded in February 2015 by simply participating in an open stage. After this night, the band members could not resist to continue to perform. When the opportunity arose to perform in their local pub on Kingsday 2015, it was certain this would be the last gig. Afterwards, the band has a lot of positive comments were received, with the biggest compliment: "These youngsters show us how it's done!".
In the period that has passed, the band has smoothened off the rough edges and expanded the repertoire. Still Blue stands for an evening no nonsense music; just play without whining. The band members are all born to make music and prefer to do nothing else. The performances of Still Blue are tight, dynamic, both sweet and sensitive as popping and raw.
Although the bandname suggests this is a blues-rockband, Still Blue has a setlist that ranges from old blues and rock to new soul and pop, from ballads to loud rocksongs. It will vary between Led Zeppelin to Muse and then back to Nancy Sinatra after Rage Against The Machine. With two beautiful singers who know to turn any occasion into a party, the band has given many successful performances by now.
In short, Still Blue is a sleek, dynamic and fun band to listen to and watch, with a varied set list.
A brand new act, but one with plenty of experience. Stillmode, the band that was formed from the remains of pop-rock band KinKobra, is starting anew. They have a fresh sound and are motivated to the teeth, ready to conquer the world. First order of business of the formation, led by frontman Pasacal Molenaar: the catchy single Outside World.
The band worked with the renowed producer Arno Krabman (Within Temptation, Waylon, Niels Geusebroek). The songs have a big dose of Jack White, a pinch of Placebo, a few drops of Prince, but above all the power to nestle itself in your ear and don’t let go. That’s what you call hit potential. If anything, they’re putting in the effort. ‘This band is a serious, even more ambitious one than KinKobra’, says Pascal. ‘We’re going to take it as far as it will go. To conquer the world’, he jokingly claims. ‘But above all, we’re going to play ‘till we drop. Festivals, concerts, and record a bunch of new tracks. There are no boundaries’, At the moment, Stillmode works with Arno Krabman on their debut EP, which will be scheduled for release at the beginning of 2017.
