Cover The Cage is an untamable group of students. Besides making music, they have only one goal: Party!
A full night in which the hits just keep on coming, that’s the unique talent of CTC. Whether it’s the groovy eighties, the raving nineties, or the singalong zeroes, this band does it all. Well. It might just so happen that you’ll hear Coldplay, Haddaway, Madness and Mumford & Suns in quick succession. Anything goes for these musicians from the coastal town of Katwijk. From rock to rave and from funk to folk. Even the newest hits don’t scare them. A CTC-show is a full night of surprising and humorous twists and turns. Since their formation in 2012, the band members are all about having a good time, but quality as well. They managed to go through to the grand final of the 2014 Clash of the Coverbands. These six musicians have all been making music at a high level for years.
Powerful, tight and catchy. That’s the motto with which Cover Up gets on stage every single time. These Amsterdammers are used to being the life of the party, and it shows!
Everyone’s favoritve hits from the eighties until now are the cornerstone of their highly accessible set. Particularly, the six-piece have a soft spot for Lenny Kravitz. Always On The Run, Are You Gonna Go My Way and other gems from the workd of this rock-god are obviously represented. But moreover, what to think of tunes by Guns N’ Roses, Kings Of Leon en Maroon 5? The two lead singers Anouk Leijenaar and Romy Laarhoven, with their crystal clear, sweet voices, shine in the spotlights. Drummer Paul de Hoop and bass player Diederik Verzijl keep a tight rhythm and the guitar players Luuk Gerrits and Jeroen van Geel make sure the sound is chesty and groovy. Tonight, you’ll probably lose your voice at some point, singing along with your favorite songs. But it’ll be a small price to pay!
Fresh with a capital PH, Crinkle Cuts deliver you a blasting of tantric funk, smooth reggae and new-wave latin ska woven together in a bombastic psychedelic tapestry of good vibes for an eccentric, exotic and eargasmic live performance.
Bigger than Patrick, their LP is out now to stream on Soundcloud or buy on Bandcamp, iTunes and other major online stores.
London five-piece Curse Of Lono recently released their debut album ‘Severed’, a
sumptuously cinematic record that combines harmony-laden Americana with driving,
gothic alt-rock. The album follows Curse Of Lono’s critically acclaimed debut EP,
released October 2016, which also formed the soundtrack to ‘Saturday Night’, a short
film of inter-connected music videos directed by Alex Walker. The film recently won
Best Music Video at the LA Independent Film Awards, the London Independent Film
Awards and Feel The Reel International Film Festival in Glasgow and has made the
official selection at the International Music Video Underground in LA and the
Sunlight International Film Festival in Moscow.
roots pioneers Hey Negrita, Curse Of Lono formed in early 2015, though the songs
on ‘Severed’ were written over a 14-year period. They range from the perky, Paul
Simon-ish new single ‘Pick Up The Pieces’ to the more lugubrious ‘He Takes My
Place’, the almost jazzy ‘London Rain’ and the rootsy, rhythmic ‘Send For The
Whisky’. The album belongs as much to the Americana tradition and old faithfuls
such as Little Feat as it does to more modern, playful practitioners of the form such as
Wilco and Beck.
Lyrically, the songs cover themes including infidelity and sexual jealousy, the death
of friends, and Felix’s personal struggle with heroin addiction. “Although ‘Severed’ is
a dark record in places, it is not an addiction record,” says Felix. “It’s about growing
up enough to be able to share a drink with the ghosts of the past without letting them
push you around.”
Curse of Lono will be support act during the upcoming EU tour of Chuck Prophet.
This Irish folkband with a broad repertoire is always surprising and a bit stubborn. From Irish to Amercan, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Christy Moore, Luka Bloom, The Pogues, jigs, pubsongs and ballads. Plus everything you will and won’t expect in between.
Aside from the big cover-repertoire, the band has chosen their own folk-path with original songs in a typical style.
The ‘Good old boys’ of Daddy-O will guarantee a party for all ages, no-nonsense folk that will allow everything but doesn’t obligate anything. No pub is too small and no event too big, Daddy-O will make an Irish party you won’t forget.
With no less than 14 instruments and 5 musicians this show will be vibrant form start till end.
The musical palet of the half Algerian singer-songwriter Dalâl Marouf consists of funk, rock, pop and the uplifting desert sounds of Northern Africa. Her main sources of inspiration are just as diverse: from Neil Young and Pink Floyds David Gilmour to raï-singer Cheb Khaled and funk guitarist Nile Rogers.
Dalâl already has an impressive resume. At the age of fifteen, she started writing her own compositions, and played in dozens of bands (like Girls Wanna Have Fun), her awesome guitar solos secured her win at the Amsterdam Guitar Battle, and she’s been touring through the country for many years. Her new single, Space Girl is a catchy and mysterious track from her sophomore record, and follows her critically acclaimed debut lp Trust. On her new album, she experiments with the sounds of Northern Africa more than ever.
Drummer Daniel Camacho will gather some of his friends for a show with the greatest Funk, Rock and Soulhits.
The 25 year old Dasilvian is an ambitious singer/songwriter/and producer from Amsterdam. In the past Dasilvian has participated in Netherlands-se reality tv shows like X-factor and Popstars.
Dasilvian has recently released his debut album ' Messiah '. Dasilvian has a very diverse music style and he likes to explore his boundaries. He was inspired by soul, hip hop, pop, jazz and funk. These styles you will hear back in his music. Often with a surprise element here and there. The idea-could be raised, from the debut album of Dasilvian is: "improve the world by the Messiah in you, and express more love to share with the world". Dasilvian is part of the independent label Bruce Music Group.
Dasilvian's goal is to be for others what the artists he admired were for him. People who can touch a soul with music so that they are heard, loved, feel understood and supported. A goal that is not easy to achieve but every soul touched feels like a victory.
Songs you hoped never to hear again, and classics you forgot the title of, but know like the back of your hand nevertheless. We don’t know any of those.
De Cassetteband, formerly known as De Boot Gemist, formerly known as De Roestige Spijkers, formerly known as De Timmermannen is back from never being gone at all. The band plays songs from back in the day and now. As long as you can recognize them after exactly ten seconds. And just like a real cassette tape, sometimes they go on the blink and it usually takes a little time before they start the second half. Bob Wiebes, Celeste Stroganovski, Marnix La Gro, Michiel Hoffman and Tim van Hardeveld form this new band from Haarlem. After some changes in personnel, De Cassetteband has now a fixed line-up. The repertoire consists of forgotten gems by artists like Tina Turner, Phil Collins, The Darkness, Lionel Richie and Hans de Booij. Guaranteed to make you dance!
Since 2013, De Grens has been playing pop and rock covers in de widest sense of the word. Dublin-based DELORENTOS are currently being hailed as one of Ireland’s finest and most imaginative bands.
The band drifted together in the usual fashion… inspired by boredom, creative energy, and a passion for music – obvious reference points are Pixies, The Cure, The Clash and Arcade Fire; more oblique influences slide in from most genres of music and virtually every decade from the 50s onwards. Over a period of time that saw others attempt to tie down a description of their sound, they holed up in the wilds of Portrane, Co Dublin and concentrated on writing songs, pure and simple. They had no interest in the frills and fripperies or the empty bombast that occupy other bands; for them it has always been about 4 people communing to harness honest emotion, fashion melodic hooks, and roll out infectious rhythms.
Suffice it to say the band’s self-released third album (and third consecutive Top 10 charting album in Ireland), Little Sparks (on their own Delorecords label) has been hailed as their best music to date. It is packed with a beautiful balance of gutsy, melodic guitar songs riddled with harmonies, pure pop moments, and more reflective, building soundscapes.
The Irish media greeted its release with a rake of 4 and 5 star reviews:
“The sound of a band who have found their musical and lyrical groove.” Irish Times
“One of the finest Irish releases of recent times!” www.entertainment.ie
“Uniformly fabulous!” www.state.ie
“Last November’s EP hinted that Delorentos had some new tricks up their sleeve, but it didn’t fully prepare the listener for the quality and consistency of this hugely assured album.” Irish Independent
Since 2007 Delorentos have released three critically acclaimed albums; 2007’s In Love With Detail, nominated for Best Album at both the Choice Music Prize and the Meteor Awards, 2009’s You Can Make Sound, which as well as hitting number 2 in the Irish charts won Entertainment.ie’s Album of the Year; and 2012’s Little Sparks. As well as their recording success, Delorentos have always been a touring band, and since 2007 have played extensively in Ireland, as well as the UK, Europe and North America.
The rest is yet to unfold, pay rapt attention!
Delorentos are Kieran, Ross, Ro and Níal.

One of Australia's hardest travelling outfits, electro-world music fusion band Dubarray are about to release their 2017 european dates which will see the band head back to countries such as Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria & Germany.
Uplifting, Soulful & Euphoric, Dubarray combine a fresh fusion of boundary bending world music that infuses such styles as trip-hop, funk, reggae, downtempo, drum & bass, house and tribal grooves layered on a bed electronic ambience and organic undertones. Dubarray are a unique story of an Australian act who kicked off their journey in Europe 5 years ago, building solid foundations thanks to an abundant and busy live touring schedule. During that time the band have released three albums, 4 singles, returned to tour Europe four times and have been nominated for various Music Oz and Queensland Music awards.
These four distinguished twenty-somethings started the band Dynamic Gentlemen in the summer of 2013. Because it’s important to have something to look at, the suits of this dashing four-piece are always as tight as their sound.
To perform is to enjoy yourself. This is what shines through in the group. The only thing they don’t take lightly is the music itself. In the writing proces, they constantly look for a balance in tempo, force and subgenres. Even within the songs themselves. They mix rock with influences from funk, pop and even classical music. Lyrically, they deviate from clichés more and more. Their songs used to be about love and heartbreak. Now, they’re not afraid to tackle subjects like loneliness, war and the meaning of life. But this makes their show anything but melancholic. Their combination of good music and showmanship makes their gigs exciting, memorable and extremely energetic.

Bristol based Elles Bailey (28) seamlessly weaves rootsy blues, country and soulful rock with a contemporary edge and her trademark ‘smoky vocals’ taking the lead. Her husky toned, lived-in voice sounds like she has a 60-a-day habit, but was actually caused by a serious illness when she was three. Her two EP's, both produced by Brian Banks, (Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie) 'Who I Am To Me' (Feb 2015) and 'The Elberton Sessions' (Oct 2016) were released to critical acclaim, and her debut album is set to drop Spring 2017.
No stranger to the scene, over the last three years, this captivating, hard-working songstress and her talented band have built up a loyal all-age fan base through relentless touring, through both the UK and Europe. She’s opened for acts like Wille & The Bandits and shared festival line-ups with Lisa Simone, The Mystery Jets & Wilko Johnson.
In fact, 2017 looks set to be a very busy year for Elles with over 30 dates scheduled in the run up to her debut album release in April. Her festival diary is also filling up very quickly. Elles will feature at The Great British Rock and Blues Festival in Skegness and will be opening for soul singer Jo Harman on her February tour before heading back into Europe in Spring 2017.
Like many artists today, Elles is breaking down the barriers of traditional genres, taking inspiration from many and fusing them together to bring you her own unique sound, which is earning her a legion of devoted fans, young and old, from across the UK and further afield.
