Remember when you last went completely crazy over a band? When you could sing along to every single song until you lost your voice? Isn’t it great when every track on the repertoire is one you know and love?
#trendingtopic is back! this 70’s to 2000’s pop and rock coverband will keep you entertained for hours! You may have seen them before at the Waterhole, but now they’re back with a new singer, Lonneke (and it is not her first time @ the waterhole either!). These ingredients provide a performance that every rock-fan will love!
10Electric thought of what other bands have seemed to have forgotten: songs everyone forgot to play. Songs of which you thaught: Why doesn’t anyone play them anymore?!
The band has an almost unhealthy appetite for hard-hitting rock ‘n roll. AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Danzig, Peter Pan Speed Rock and Kiss, it’s just a small grasp of what they have in store. No gimmicks or other ornaments, just five dudes from Leiden. Raw, stomp-footin’, swingin’ and as original as playing other people’s songs can be!
The 19-Twenty lads have been performing their high-energy sonic-party nationally, headlining sell-out shows and festivals in all Australian states and territories. Constantly on the road or in the sky, they have toured seven times around Oz and performed gigs throughout Europe including Belgium, The Netherlands, France, and a suite of gigs in London (a highlight was a spell at the famous Alley Cat nightclub in SoHo). Performing anywhere and everywhere, this straight-up 100% independent act have been blazing throughout Europe and Australia and gaining new music fans/fiends from their live shows.
19-Twenty have been whipping up a frenzy on the festival scene. They are electric. An infectious riff and groove based blue-billy-grass-rockin’-roots band.
They’ve been widely known in the Southwest of Holland. Time to conquer the big city! Their excellent versions of the best out of decades of pop history is the basis of 2 Big 4 Words’ show. The seven members of the group have been burning down the house for years and years.
Lead singer Jan Klapwijk is the leader, founder and driving force of the band. Without him there’s no 2 Big 4 Words and without 2 Big 4 Words no party! Working with acts like Robbie Valentine’s band Line and Jack In The Box made him the artist and true entertainer he is today. For what seems like ages, he’s been giving people around the country unforgettable nights of party-pleasure. With his fellow lead vocalist Gertruud ‘Tuut’ Scholte, he forms a dynamic duo not easily matched. While they’re the heart of the band, the rest of the group is not to be underestimated. This eclectic collective of musicians schooled in jazz, rock and pop carry the same party-gene, and join the festivities with crazy costumes, great singalongs and silly dance moves.
Every essential ingredient for a party of epic proportions are right here!
2Hot2Funk is a collaboration of four local session-musicians, who played together in countless projects in the Amsterdam area and far beyond. With this one, they keep the funklevel high, with plenty of room for classics.
Frontman Gregorio ‘Gregosaurus-Rex’ Rangel is the bass player of the notorious Amsterdam band Mosquito, Venezuelan metal band Laberinto and many other groups. In this 2hot2funk-formation he takes up the role of frontman, singing the lead vocals. Santanico-frontman Marco Toro’s one of the finest drummers you’ll find in Amsterdam. He and Gregorio take care of the rhythm section, Marcos Gomez completes the group on keys and vocals, and the leadguitar will be played by the one and only Pablo Minolli, de ex-guitarplayer in Laberinto, Ali B and Brainpower (amongst others). An eclectic allstar-collective with a great arsenal of material: classic rock, reggae and soul are all laced with some fat funk.

A Different Thread brings together three unexpected collaborators; Singer-songwriter Robert Jackson from Lichfield Staffordshire, Isaac Collier, a classically trained cellist from the Yorkshire Moors, and , Alicia Best a singer/fiddle player from North Carolina.
The trio have their own contemporary take on what Americana music is: They play what they are calling ‘British-Americana’ pulling from the roots of traditional American and British music alike, weaving together aspects of country, blues and folk with classical undertones and a hint of bluegrass.
Jackson’s songs tell tales of adventure, bitter romance, and synchronicity with ‘thought provoking, well crafted lyrics’(Gordon Giltrap) and a ‘strong, soulful voice’ (FATEA magazine). Alicia's tight harmonies harken back to ages past and the mountain ballads of Appalachia, while Isaac's astute and often improvised cello lifts their music up with an impulsive edge.
This singer from Amsterdam is a true diva. On every stage, she shines in the spotlights. And tonight, that stage is The Waterhole, where she performs a soulful show, full of funky and poppy tunes with some of her many musical partners.
But Farida Merville has earned her stripes long ago. Her career in music is a real adventure. At the end of the eighties, she made her debut and many different projects would follow. She worked with a seamingly endless list of great artists, like the late Thé Lau, Samantha Fox, Quazar and many other quintessential nineties acts. As a solo artist, she released a number of records. Her comeback-album Question Mark came out in 2010, on Chique Records. Tonight, she’ll once again be centre stage!
